Begining of the Birthday Celebrations

Yesterday our family slept in and then spent some time at the Zoo and at the Vegan Bakery in celebration of Elliot's First Birthday.  Elliot loves being outdoors and had lots of fun.  He really enjoyed the leopard, some of the birds, and the giraffes.  It was perfect weather, it only sprinkled for a minute or so.  He rode the carousel with Daddy and was a little afraid of the animals that were following him from behind!  He fell asleep in his stroller as we were making our way to the train.  So we will have to do that next time.   By the time we made it back to the car he woke up while we tried to put him in the car seat.  So he had a short nap for the day but only wanted to play once we got home. 

I found a Vegan bakery the other day and so we decided to go there and try more of their treats.  Elliot didn't really care for it.  Is he the only kid that walks away from a cookie or brownie? He was busy running around and climbing the stairs. 

I had a chance to chat with the owner who dealt with allergies with her 2 boys.  One also had severe eczema growing up.  He out grew it by 4.  It helps me stay hopeful! 

Elliot also got to spend some time with Mimi & G-Pa, they gave him a climb and slide castle!  Hopefully later today he will be able to try it out.  He had lots of fun, staying up later than usual playing around... he didn't even get cranky without much napping.
